• Formerly known as Siam, and officially called the Kingdom of Thailand, it is a country located in Southeast Asia.
• It borders Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, the Gulf of Thailand, and Malaysia, as well as the Andaman Sea and the southern extremity of Myanmar.
• It also has maritime borders with Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand to the southeast, and with Indonesia and India in the Andaman Sea to the southwest.
